Aus dem Vorwort von Phillip Keveren:
In the summer of 1976, I turned 15 years old. "Bohemian Rhapsody" was all over the radio waves. I had never heard anything like it, and I could not get enough of it! The magical merging of opera an rock made a huge impression to me.
Queen was one of the most successful rock bands in music history. With estimates of record sales ranging from 150 million to 300 million, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001. Their songs took inspiration from many different genres of music. With such a rich musical palette from which to draw, arranging these gems for classical piano was extremely enjoyable.
